THE CLEVELAND IMPROV EXPERIMENT!
Combines some of the very best Improv Comedy directors with the every-growing and abundantly talented Cleveland Improv Comedy Community! This coming together will result in some of the most amazing, challenging and memorable Improv Comedy that Cleveland has ever seen!
With so many people training and studying Improv Comedy in Cleveland, there had to be more places for this influx of people to perform. CII came up with this idea to showcase and give our large Improv Community a place not only to train but also to perform!
Every 3 showcase season will last for a period of 9 months out of the year. Each showcase will be different, with different Improv Styles and directors. No style, era, genre will be unused. Everyone has the opportunity to audition. No one is excluded from this! Once cast you are cast for the whole season. Each show within the season builds upon the past show and moves the through-line and themes of the previous show farther than ever thought. What is created at the end of the 9 months is a New Improv Group in Cleveland. What this gives the Cleveland Entertainment Community is a chance to see, enjoy, embrace and support the Improv Community in Cleveland and help it grow into a fully appreciated artform!
